Seven Simple Steps to Start Eating Healthier

1. Choose whole foods over processed foods. Apples over apple juice. Banana’s over banana bread.
2. Eat more whole grains. Discover new ones and ways to cook them.
3. Think vegetarian meals more often, the healthiest diets in the world are mostly vegetarian diets.
4. Choose fruits and vegetables for snacks. Shop at the local farmer’s markets to buy local produce when available and plant a garden.
5. If you must eat meat look for leaner cuts from local ranchers if possible.
6. Avoid high fructose corn syrup and aspartame. Look for natural sweeteners.
7. Walk every day. 7 days a week. 15,000 steps a day is recommended for weight loss. Invest in a pedometer.

Plus a bonus step. Drink more water!
