Action Day Focus

This is Blog Action Day, and the brief is “The Environment”, and so I wonder, what does the environment mean to me? Ice caps melting in the Arctic, rain forest being cleared faster than ever, gold mines that spew toxic metals in the hunt for the elusive metal, or something closer to home, and home is where my attention is staying.

British Scorned

My environment is the conditions that I find myself living in, and yesterday’s news upset my equilibrium, which upset my environment. Every news bulletin poured scorn on the people of Britain, we are now officially a nation of obese souls, whose life spans will be short because we are eating too much. We are to be vilified because we will cost the government billions of pounds for health care, money that they don’t have, and they don’t have it, because the drugs that are forced upon us are so costly. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry!

Look At The Real Problem

Our drinking water is polluted with oestrogens from an antiquated sewage system that pours un-treated sewage into our water courses, our farm land is decimated by pesticides, our crops have been genetically modified, our sources of meat are pumped full of anti-biotics, our fish are polluted with mercury and our beaches are a great source of e-coli. And our lives will be shortened because we are fat!

MSG Slaves

We are fat because we eat poor food, that is so without taste, that to make it more palatable Monosodium Glutamate is added. Finding foods that haven’t had this nerve stimulant added is almost impossible, hours would need to be spent reading food labels in the supermarket. And how to remember the list of aliases that this poison is marketed under, would take Mr. Memory himself.

  1. MSG
  2. Monosodium Glutomate
  3. Monopotassium Glutomate
  4. Glutamic Acid
  5. Gelatin
  6. Hydrolysed Vegetable Protein
  7. Hydrolysed Plant Protein
  8. Sodium Caseinate
  9. Textured Protein
  10. Yeast Extract
  11. Yeast Food or Nutrient
  12. Autolyzed Yeast

Intoxicate And Stimulate

All this is designed to stimulate our taste buds, because we wouldn’t eat the tasteless food otherwise, and it’s gift to our body is: It causes obesity. It does it by intoxicating the signals coming from the hypothalamus resulting in weight gain and hypertension. Creating lots of NHS patients here then, as the government report states that:

“The NHS must make obesity services more of a priority, as there is desperate inadequacy of treatment and support for obese children.”

Ready Steady Drugs

The Pharmaceutical companies just happen to be marketing drugs to treat obesity, we have a choice:

  • Orlistat (Xenical) causes frequent oily bowel movements
  • Sibutamine (Reductil, Meridia) causes Increased Blood Pressure, dry mouth, constipation, headache.
  • Metformin (Glucophage) for this to work you need to be type 2 Diabetic
  • Rimonabant Due to safety reasons not Yet approved by the FDA
  • Fen_Phen causes severe life threatening side effects

And then there’s our old adversity Aspartame, masquerading under several aliases:

  1. NutraSweet
  2. Equal
  3. Spoonful
  4. Canderel
  5. Benevia
  6. Misura
  7. E951 in EuropeWhy Splenda, NutraSweet, and the FDA May Be Hazardous to Your Health

The whole metabolic story of Aspartame can be found in this book, but suffice to say, it causes weight gain and fatty liver, and when this starts to occur it is extremely difficult to lose weight.

Bone Loss

Oh, and just a quick mention that when weight loss is drastic, you can watch your bones wither. With restricted fat intake, less oestrogen is produced, and hormone levels drop. Oestrogen is required to retain bone strength, especially in over-weight post menopausal women.

Weighing The Children

Our governments have created the problem of obesity, we, the people, are to blame for the British Government having to spend £3.7bn a year on treating our fat. They also fear that levels of Diabetes, Cancer and Heart Disease will rise. To stop this from happening they are going to weigh children every year. Anything but addressing the real cause of obesity, the food that we are all forced to consume.

Avoid Being Targeted

There are some strategies that you can take to avoid resorting to drugs:

  1. Avoid MSG as much as possible
  2. Avoid Aspartame (Neotame) completely
  3. Drink Green Tea
  4. Take as much Cayenne Pepper as you can
  5. Shop at Farmer’s Markets

Green Tea And Cayenne

Cayenne Pepper is a secret metabolic booster. Adding CP to foods can increase the sense of fullness when eating a meal, it also increases calorie burning after a meal. Tabasco sauce and ginger have similar properties. Drink Green Tea, which is known for it’s calorie-burning properties, as it appears to partially block fat absorption. Or do what I do and add Cayenne Tincture to Green Tea after meals and first thing in the morning, I can promise you that this helps.

One of the things that comes out periodically from the health food industry is that our foods have less nutrition. Nutrition equal energy. The body consumes less when there is more life force in the food. Sadly, big business and many of our friends and neighbors don’t think this really makes a difference. What is true for England is also true for the US. Thanks for the article.

I so agree. Managing our personal health is imperative. Doing so will change the world. For if we stop feeding into what commerce encourages us to eat, then we feed into healthy alternatives; organic farming, which produces food that is sustainable to the environment and the inhabitants.

Bravo! Lets keep the fire burning!

I agree with this completely, thanks for the post.

Hi Sue.,
Yes, it’s good to realise that diabetes can be helped by the simple things, sometimes without resorting to drugs.

I am particularly interested in the research that has found a ‘Type 3′ diabetes that is concerned with Alzheimers. http://www.diabetes-watch-blog.com/blogs/permalinks/9-2007/

Perhaps this links with chemical consumption too?
