Some office supply stores offer rebates for used ink cartridges. Some give cash, which is always happy-making. Others give a ream of paper for each cartridge. This is a double win. You can be saving a tree AND an octopus. So where do you think ink comes from?
Tell a friend about this ink for paper/cash exchange. If they don’t seem particularly interested, you can suggest they give those dirty old smelly ugly used up worthless ink cartridges to you. You’ll be glad to aid the environment for them, thereby relieving them of global warming karma. What a good friend you are!
At your workplace…I never know whether to picture your workplace as a padded cubicle, or the spot on the rockpile where you laid your pickax next to the heavy iron ankle chains when they unshackled you last night. Assuming it is the former, check into company policy on ink cartridge rebates. Do they have a return arrangement with the ink cartridge supplier? If so, is it for credit on their account, which is like your happy-making cash rebate but nobody does the little dance? “Vee vill haf no dancink in accountink.” Accountants… usually an uninspired group except the one I dated who played bass in a jazz combo…..oops, ’click Save’ for another day.
Oh, so, back to the workplace/ink cartridge bonanza. Why is it called a bonanza? You may get a bonus, an award, at least, a gold star, if you initiate an ink cartridge saving plan.
Nothing better than saving money for the boss to get you noticed. Maybe it will deflect attention away from the other noticeable things you do. Like keeping your iguana in your top desk drawer. You know they go in the file cabinet under ‘HP’. Hewlett-Packard? Uh no, Hidden Pet.
