There are 54 days to go before bloggers around the web will join together to bring an important issue to the forefront of everyone’s mind.

The Environment.

I could hear the collective groan from here. “Not again, as if it isn’t enough to have ageing pop stars ranting about the subject, while consuming mega watts of electricity.” It doesn’t have to be like that though, and it is a subject worthy of a little extra thought.

Our blog, liveholistically, has joined the 1,963 other bloggers who believe that we might take another look at an overworked subject.

What to write about
What are we all going to write about?

We’ll write about what we know, and on this blog that could lead us in some very different directions, as all the writers have a different aspect of life that is dear to their hearts.

From my point of view, I’ll be talking about the energy that this planet so freely offers to us all, and that it is possible to give a little something back in recognition of the gift.

Wonderful Diversity
It will be wonderful reading all the different ways that this internet community experience the environment. I expect we shall even hear from bloggers who couldn’t give a damn about saving the planet, and will someone please pass them their polystyrene wrapped fast food. Great! The more diversity the better.

You see, when we start to think about something, our opinions frequently change, age, experiences, belief systems all have an input. My own opinions now bear no resemblance to anything that I used to get stirred up about in my twenties, but those opinions deserved an airing then, as the opinions of others do now.

And so I look forward with expectation, and there are only 54 days to go until October 15th 2007.
