What to do about a sluggish lymph system?
Daily Dry Brushing
A natural bristle brush used for bathing is your lymph system helper. Use before your shower or bath.
Use a circular and firm motion, brushing towards the heart. For best results:
- Start at your left foot and brush up the leg.
- Switch to your right foot and leg and brush.
- Brush the abdomen going from right to left. (This follows the pathway of the colon.)
- Brush your bum and up as high as you can on your back.
- Brush the breast area and under the arms.
- Brush left hand then up the arm.
- Repeat with right hand and arm.
- Gently brush the neck then face.
You should be glowingly pink by now. Shower. Or you can also take a damp cloth and wipe your body down. This will remove dead skin cells left from the brushing. Don’t forget to give your brush a rinse and put it where it can dry.
Remember, your skin is the biggest eliminating organ of your body. Here are more benefits:
- Removes dead skin
- Lessens cellulite
- Tightens skin
- Cleanses the lymphatic system
- Strengthens the immune system
- Stimulates the hormone and oil-producing glands
- Stimulates circulation
- Improves the function of the nervous system
- Helps digestion

Thanks for including me in your site. I might add that my aging skin has a glow and elesticity that many of my same aged friends don’t have. They don’t belive me when I tell them it is because I dry brush.
I’m going to try it. Thanks Susan.
You are so welcome, Pat. Enjoy the rosey glow!
Hello, Susan
I’ve been dry brush messaging for 16 yrs. My body even asks for it (At around 10pm I start scratching my skin which is my signal it’s time for my dry brush & shower). I’m even trying to get my kids to start doing it.
1. I haven’t been ill in 16yrs.
2. My skin feels delicious.
3. If I don’t have to I do not discuss age. (I’m going to be 45 soon). You couldn’t tell by looking at me though.
I give all the credit to dry brush messaging. Because I never sleep enough, or excercise enough. I’m not as slim as I would like to be 20pds over. But I still have hope I will one day beat this weight thing.
The reason I decided to answer you is people think that dry brushing is time consuming. Most know about it but will not do it. To bad for them as long as I can move my fingers and arms, I’ll do this until I die.
I just hope to inplant this habit into my kids. My 14yr old son did it yesterday for the first time, my 16yr old
daughter thinks it’s to time consuming. I figure if I still look this good by the time she’s in her mid 20’s, maybe she’ll do it also. It’s just one of the best and inexpensive things we can do for ourselves.
The reason my 14yr old did it, is because I keep braging about it and he thinks I’m crazy. So I made him read about the benefits of dry brush message on a website.
He didn’t believe me when I told him I believe the dry brush is keeping me healthy. After reading about it
that’s when he decided to try it.
Thanks
Elsie
my fingers and arms, I’ll do this until I die.
Thank You, Elsie!!
It works! You are proof of the pudding.
